Friday Night SmackDown results: King Corbin hits victorious Roman Reigns with a surprise attack and Bray Wyatt interrupts Hulk Hogan

King Corbin has the last laugh with a sneak attack on upcoming Super ShowDown opponent Roman Reigns and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt does not want to take Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan’s advice about facing Goldberg.

It turned out Daniel Bryan was the man to say ‘yes’ to Roman Reigns’ call and be his mystery partner in the tag team match against The Miz and John Morrison.

And despite coming out on top, The Big Dog still finished the show in a heap after King Corbin assaulted him from behind after the bell.

The two meet in a steel cage match at Super ShowDown and this latest instalment of their feud has, if possible, stoked the fires even more.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley defeats Carmella

The champion may have retained her belt but it was in controversial circumstances, as after a closely-fought match she placed her feet on the ropes when landing a pin fall.

But the action didn’t stop there as after the bell Bayley attacked Carmella and raised her title aloft, only for Naomi to enter the fray and with the help of the defeated Carmella they left the champion in a crumpled heap ringside.

Sheamus beats Shorty G and Apollo Crews

Shorty G attempted to come to Apollo Crews’ rescue last week after Sheamus came out on top in their match and this time around the Irishman faced a handicap match.

But the outcome was the same thanks to two Brogue Kicks to help Sheamus claim the win.

Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan are victorious against The Miz and John Morrison

Having named Bryan as his mystery partner, Reigns came out on top against the chirpy pair as his thunderous Spear led to the victory.

But before he had time to celebrate, King Corbin – who was barred from competing and instead bought a front-row seat – ambushed Reigns with his sceptre after the bell.

Corbin finished the night atop his throne admiring his handiwork and added yet more fuel to the building battle between the two ahead of their Super ShowDown clash.
