Robbie Savage: BT Sport Biography

The former Wales midfielder is a football co-commentator and pundit for BT Sport.

Robbie Savage is a football co-commentator and pundit for BT Sport.

He joined BT Sport in the summer of 2014 and co-presented former Saturday morning studio show 'Matchday Live with Fletch and Sav' alongside Darren Fletcher.

Robbie is now a staple of the BT Sport Score team, keeping fans up to date with the latest scores up and down the country every Saturday afternoon ahead of BT Sport's live Premier League game at 5.30pm.

Robbie also plays a prominent role in our exclusive live Premier League, Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup coverage and is a regular guest on Premier League Tonight.

The former Wales international came through the ranks at Manchester United alongside the famous 'Class of '92' but never made a senior appearance for the Reds.

Stints at Crewe, Leicester, Birmingham. Blackburn, Derby and Brighton (loan) followed and he collected a League Cup winner's medal in 2000 with the Foxes.

Since retiring in 2011 he has pursued a host of other media interests and regularly co-presents BBC Radio 5 Live's '606' phone-in with Fletcher.

He also stars in the station's podcast 'Flintoff, Savage & The Ping Pong Guy' alongside England cricket legend Andrew Flintoff and award-winning writer and former table tennis player Matthew Syed.
